A macho man's spa resort offers pampering fit for a princess..
In Short
This 250-acre plot full of palm trees sits on a strip of desert about two hours east of L.A. Earthy and unpretentious, thatched gazebos and rustic wicker furniture abound--don't expect the posh amenities of a four-star hotel. A sybaritic spa menu of 45 treatments boasts signature mud baths, a salt rub/herbal steam combo and a unique underwater shiatsu massage known as a "watsu" treatment. Don't leave without a dip in the famed natural hot springs.

New renovations at Two Bunch worth the wait.
Apparently the new owners don't mind spending some money. Since our last trip in 2005, we just returned in Feb 2006 to find new beds, plasma TVs, travertine floors, a new boutique central coast wine list but the same staff and great massage therapists and treatmenta. The new look lobby and boutique adds a new "chich" to this Grande Dame of desert hideaways. The new chef seems to have hit his stride too but the famous Gazpacho is still on the menu and better than ever. They've added free Wi Fi too so take your laptop.
