A modernist resort with a swinging social scene that would make Frank, Dean and Sammy proud.. This space-age inn is comprised of two buildings--the Hideaway and Wexler Home. Lovers of retro and modernist designs, as well as hangers-on from an earlier era, flock here to lounge around, looking cool on the classic furnishings by Charles Eames while sipping poolside refreshments. For those who turn up their noses at the new breed of neo-classical resorts popping up all over, this throwback offers refreshing authenticity. The hotel is a secluded bastion of hip sensibilities, peppered with beautiful people who look great just hanging out in their swimming garb. Mid-century guest rooms offer mountain views, and while they're comfy, guests don't come here to tuck in with a good book. There are two salt-water swimming pools, one of which boasts the Boomerang Bar, and they are definitely the place to be. The hotel is within walking distance of the boutiques and cafes on Palm Canyon Drive.
